ABOUT HUANACAXTLE
Parota, or huanacaxtle, is one of the largest trees in Mexico's lowlands. Its size yields very wide single-board pieces, something few woods can offer.
That is why we use it mainly for slab tables, live-edge bars, countertops and carved doors, where the grain and the width of the board take center stage. It is light for its size.
Being softer than tzalam, it marks more easily. We choose it for pieces where its beauty matters more than hardness, and protect it with a finish designed for its use.
