WINDOWS AND SCREENS / AWNING WINDOWS
A leaf that works as an eave.
In an awning window, the leaf turns on its top edge and the bottom opens outward. Open, it sits tilted over the opening like a small eave: it lets out warm air and steam while keeping head-on rain out.
It works well in bathrooms, kitchens and high windows, and combined with fixed panes on large façades. Arms hold the leaf open and seals close it tight.

HOW WE MAKE THEM
The arm holds, the seal seals.
An awning window moves little, but it has to close tight.
- Top hinges and opening arms chosen for the weight of the leaf.
- Seals around the whole perimeter and a drip on the bottom edge.
- Single, double or triple glazing, depending on the insulation the space needs.
- On the coast, corrosion-resistant hardware.
- Installation and adjustment by our own team.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Wood awning windows
How much does a wood awning window cost?
As a reference, a solid wood window runs MXN 28,000 to 95,000 before VAT and freight. The price depends on size, hardware and glass.
What is the difference between awning and casement?
A casement swings sideways and opens the whole opening; an awning window turns from the top, opens partly and shields from rain while it ventilates.
Can it stay open when it rains?
Yes, that is its main advantage: the tilted leaf works as an eave. In very heavy rain and wind it is best closed.
Does an awning window take double glazing?
Yes. The leaf section is designed for single, double or triple glazing.
