WINDOWS AND SCREENS / FIXED WINDOWS
The window that insulates best.
A fixed window has no opening leaves: the glass is held in the wood frame. With no moving joints, it seals best against air, water and noise, and allows the largest glass panes.
It is almost always combined with opening leaves, casement, tilt-and-turn or sliding, to ventilate the space, and resolved with them in a single frame.

HOW WE MAKE THEM
A frame that holds the glass.
In a fixed window, wood and glass work together for years.
- Solid wood frame and glazing beads sized for the weight of the glass.
- Double or triple glazing, and laminated or tempered glass in large or low panes.
- Glass sealed to the frame so air and water stay out.
- Drip edges and slopes in the frame so water runs off.
- Installation by our own team.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Wood fixed windows
How much does a wood fixed window cost?
As a reference, a solid wood window runs MXN 28,000 to 95,000 before VAT and freight. For a fixed window, the price depends mainly on size and glass.
Why does a fixed window insulate better?
Because it has no moving leaves or opening joints: the glass is sealed to the frame. With double or triple glazing, it is the window that lets the least heat, cold and noise through.
How do you clean a fixed window from outside?
If the opening can’t be reached from outside, it is best combined with an opening leaf or with access planned on site. We resolve it with the architect.
How large can a fixed window be?
It depends on the glass and the frame section. If the opening is very large, we divide it into several panes with wood mullions.
